Meet Our Bays
(And not so "bay") Horses

Great Bay Farm was named because of all the GREAT bay event horses that have been through our barn doors - some are still with us, and some have been trained and sold to new riders. Of course we welcome all event horses and riders, and even some that are not eventers, like our little chestnut buddy named Eddie.

Bully for Billy Event Horse For SaleBully for Billy (Billy)

Great Bay Farm student event rider, Emily Seaver, has just purchased this 8-year old bay thoroughbred. Billy had a great 2007 season, having qualified for the American Eventing Championships at the Training AND Preliminary Levels and finishing the season with a successful completion of a CCI* (one star).  Emily's first event with Billy will be at the King Oak Horse Trials in May.  A very exciting season is in store for Billy & Emily!

Clifton Gameplan Event HorseThe Gameplan (Hershey)

The  Gameplan is a 7 year old, athletic, New Zealand thoroughbred who is now eventing here in the U.S.A. with owner and trainer Susan Bourassa. His rich, dark bay color is what gave him the nickname "Hershey" - because he is the color of a Hershey Bar. Hershey also qualified for the 2007 American Eventing Championships at the Training Level. Watch Hershey & Susan during the 2008 as he continues to be a horse that could go all the way to the top!

Eddie

Eddie

Eddie is the little brother of the group—measuring in at 14h3”. He is a 9 year old chestnut quarter horse ridden and trained by his owner, Sandy Schumann, for Western Pleasure and natural horsemanship As the only non-event horse in the barn, he misses his buddies when they are busy during the show season. Eddie always gives a welcoming whinny when they all arrive home.
