Great Bay Farm is located in Pownal, Maine—a picturesque town in Southern Maine, just 25 minutes North of Portland and just west of Freeport. Our horse stables are situated on 11 acres of rolling fields and woods and surrounded by an additional 130 acres. With Bradbury Mountain State Park directly across from the barn, there is ample room for training, hacking, or just to enjoy!
Great Bay Farm specializes in the equestrian sport of Eventing and offers coaching, training, and the opportunity to further the education of horse and rider in the field of eventing. As an accomplished equestrian herself, owner Susan Bourassa is committed to the development and sales of event horses as well as providing quality instruction to riders looking to advance.
